Wild Ridge Venue (WRV) began as a passion project born out of conversations with three ranch owners, all with the same challenge—finding new ways to utilize their stunning properties and connect with a clientele that matched their aspirations. The idea was simple yet elegant: transform sprawling family-owned ranches into destinations that offer both luxury hunting experiences and upscale wedding venues.
These ranches, ranging from 250 to 2,500 acres, had long thrived on agriculture-based income, but profits had been dwindling, leaving the owners eager for a more sustainable, year-round revenue stream.
We imagined WRV’s customers as discerning individuals who value outdoor adventure but also appreciate a touch of luxury. Whether it’s a family booking a breathtaking wedding in a rustic yet refined setting, or a group of hunters looking for an exclusive, high-end retreat, WRV would cater to both. The vision was to create a space that felt authentic, welcoming, and tailored to guests who seek both the wild and the wonderful.

Visual Identity and guidelines development sets the stage.
research_the challenge
We started by diving into the ranch owners’ desires and analyzing their current challenges and market demands.
Initially, we thought we had to create a brand that resonated with two very different audiences: hunters and engaged couples.
However, the key was to find the overlap between these groups. The experience they both are hungry for. We crafted detailed personas for both target audiences, focusing on their desires for luxury, comfort, and adventure.
Creative Direction
From there, we built mood boards and curated visual inspiration that brought these ideas to life. We developed custom brand marks, typography, and color palettes that seamlessly blended rugged charm with elegant sophistication.
crafting the brand assets_
We crafted a logo system worthy of a bride’s delight and a hunter’s respect. The color palette and typography were chosen meticulously to convey the land, speak to the ideal customer personas, and pleasing to the land owner’s mixtures of traditional and modern tastes.
envisioning what could be_
We then created a series of mockups to help tell the brand’s story visually. From branded shotgun shell holders and rustic menus, to signage behind an upscale liquor bar, we focused on crafting an aesthetic that felt as real as the land itself. The entire process was hands-on, and what started as a simple idea turned into a fully fleshed-out brand ready to welcome high-end guests.
touchpoints_the client experience
Every well crafted brand should be well lived-in. It’s great to be beautiful but we want remarkable, unforgettable, and profitable.
To test the concept we further developed what customer touchpoints could be infused to leave WRV’s clients with a hand-crafted luxury feel that’s both personalized yet easily repeatable.
fine dining & catering_
This exploration offers a direct benefit to visitors and event hosts equally. Providing meals to those staying on the premises as hunting guests and also offering catering for events hosting on the grounds elevates this location as a premiere, guest-first destination.
THE OUTCOME_
The new identity would distinguish any of these ranches in the market, positioning them as leaders in an untapped niche and attracting clients who crave a fusion of outdoor adventure and refined luxury. This imagined brand not only focuses on guest experience but also reflects the owners’ desire to share their land’s beauty and creating unforgettable moments that celebrate their hard work, passion, and connection to the outdoors while crafting a legacy many would enjoy.
